Monster Hunter Rise

Players take on the role of a hunter that must kill or trap increasingly powerful monsters to prevent a rampage that may wipe out the villlage of Kamura. Palamutes (dog-like creatures) Palicos (cat-like creatures), and a Cohoot (owl-like creature) accompany the player through the game. Most monsters are aggressive towards the player, however the player cannot die and will only feint. Some monsters and small animals have arachnid features and cannot be avoided. Other insect-like creatures and fictional animals can be found in each biome. Combat has a strong fantasy theme with no blood or gore.
