In the role of Lincoln Clay, players take on a revenge quest for the murder of his adoptive family by the Mafia. Players will engage in shootouts and melee fights and kill enemies using stealth. Players will be pursued by the police and may engage in shootouts with them. Graphic killings are shown in cutscenes. The dialogue contains a significant amount of racial slurs, including anti-Black slurs and anti-Vietnamese slurs. Nudity and (forced) sex work are prevalent throughout the game. Female NPCs are held against their will and forced to work for white supremacist gangs. Grief and PTSD are part of the main narrative.
