Jazzpunk
Jazzpunk is a zany first-person adventure game set in an alternate reality Cold War World, blending espionage with surreal comedy. Players assume the role of Polyblank, a silent protagonist tasked with completing bizarre missions for a top-secret espionage agency. As the story unfolds, Polyblank finds himself embroiled in a web of conspiracy, encountering quirky characters and engaging in unconventional challenges like navigating electric mazes and competing against the Editor in bizarre games. In the second level, part of the main quest is collecting spiders in the restaurant in a jar in order to purposefully disable the man guarding the kitchen. It is also possible to find a spider in the time travel side quest in Kai Tak Resort, and there's a woman in the standard version who will noisily request you knock one off her shoulder. In the latter case, doing so will have her walk away, allowing the player to see a much larger spider sitting on the back of her head.

A side quest in the second level involves swatting flies. Once you complete this mission, you receive a flyswatter which, when used on seeming civilians, may reveal them to be a giant humanoid fly thing which promptly buzzes away. In the second level in the roof area, there is a very large praying mantis associating with a person; look at it and turn away, and you'll hear the disconcerting noise of the mantis eating the individual's head. In the final level, the player is dressed as an exterminator & tasked with eliminating the bugs in the kitchen. Later, you learn that these bugs are mobile microprocessors, but the close appearance is obviously purposeful.

Drugs & Alcohol
Alcoholism
The Director
ShowHide potential spoilers or triggers
The Director gets blackout drunk before the first two missions, though it's not obvious until you peek behind his desk. In the finale, he notes he's been suspended in high quality whiskey, and requests you rescue him before he drinks it all. It is also possible for the player character to booze out in Kai Tak Resort and the finale, though these substances, while resembling alcohol in presentation and appearance, are generally more harmful substances to humans.

Casual Drug Consumption
Polyblank
ShowHide potential spoilers or triggers
At the start of the first three levels, Polyblank takes medication to augment reality — first for the missions, and then for his vacation. You can also find Placebex in the levels, which tends to mess with the UI and cause text to appear warning you not to do that again.
